We need to expand economic opportunity, create and maintain good-paying jobs, and diversify the city's tax base. While on the County Council, I supported tax incentives for businesses to expand and develop, creating new jobs and investing in our community.

I was on the initial board after the formation of the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership (E-REP), eliminating redundancy and streamlining the city’s ability to champion local businesses so that they can grow and so that Evansville can retain and attract a highly skilled workforce.

As Mayor, I will continue to amplify the contributions of small businesses to our community. For example, I will support Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) innovative measures to create commerce centers in areas throughout the community to help with business development and growth. Under a Mayor Terry administration, we will continue to promote economic growth by championing Evansville as a destination to establish and grow a business.
